Without correction of nipple inversion, breast feeding is usually not possible. Correction of the inversion has a good chance of restoring the ability to breastfeed, especially if the central milk duct is not affected.
There are textbook ideals of nipple and areola diameter. What is most important is that breast, areola and nipple size should be in aesthetic harmony with each other.
