Having tired looking skin? Wishing to restore the youthful radiance of your skin without having to spend a fortune on cosmetic products and without having to go through cosmetic surgery? Now you can with our revolutionary new technique – SpectraPeel Laser Photorejuvenation.
In this procedure, the state of the art Spectra laser is used. This laser is designed for non-ablative skin rejuvenation, using photothermal and photochemical actions to improve skin texture and glow with the aid of a micro particulate mask. The 2 modes act differently on the skin for different clinical conditions.
The Spectra peel mode acts to close open pores, resurface scars and improve acne by shrinking the size of sebaceous glands which secret oil. It effectively reduces the formation of whiteheads and blackheads which in turn reduces the likelihood of acne outbreaks. As such, the skin would become smoother and firmer, restoring thwe youthful radiance it once had.
The laser toning Q-switched mode targets uneven pigmentation and tattoo removal to yield a more even complexion and skin tone. The laser targets pigmentation abnormalities in both the epidermis and dermis, resulting in a lightening of pigmentation after several rounds of treatment. Both procedures are virtually painless and have minimal downtime.
Before the cosmetic procedure, a local anaesthetic cream is applied onto the face approximately 20 minutes to minimize any discomfort. A carbon mask is applied as part of the Spectra Peel treatment which elicits a photothermal and mechanical effect during the laser treatment. This is followed by a collagen remodelling of the skin and a renewal of elasticity and tone. When the laser is applied, patients often describe the sensation as warm and tingling. This lasts for about 5 minutes.
Patients leave the treatment without having any rawness or redness of skin, hence reducing the amount of downtime. Patients leave with the skin feeling more rejuvenated after every session.
